Opportunities In Defense And Military Procurement.
Eastern North Carolina is home to the fourth largest concentration of military personnel in the nation. These bases house the bulk of the Defense Department's first response forces, sometimes referred to in the press as America's 911 warriors. Millions of dollars are spent annually by these installations for the goods and services of Eastern Region companies.
Military personnel leaving the services also represent an excellent source of skilled, disciplined, goal oriented employees for new and expanding businesses in the Region.
The accompanying map shows the locations of bases in the Eastern Region.
